Let's Do This Together:
Life can be so overwhelming. There may be times when it feels like you are facing struggles alone or that no one else understands, which can make you feel anxious, depressed, or that you want to crawl back into bed to escape the weight of this world.
In this post we will explore who God is and how that can make a difference in your life. Overwhelm comes at me on a regular basis. I have learned what to do and how to shift to a higher perspective, so I don't have to stay The new way of thinking has lightened the mental load.
You might even feel like faith is pointless or a waste of time. I'm here to teach you how powerful it can be, if you are willing to do the work to build relationship with Jesus.
My Dream:
The other night I dreamt that I was at a movie theater. I was in line to get snacks, which is pretty accurate. When I got us to the counter they were out of everything.
The cashier handed me this box with a few Palmer imitation chocolates, charging me $7. I pushed the box back, saying I wasn't interested because it was too expensive for fake chocolate.
Asking the Lord What the Dream Meant?
Too often people accept counterfeits that cost a lot, and they don't satisfy their needs.
Example
We all have a need for significance or at least to feel important to someone. It probably stems from the need for love, which makes us feel valuable.
When we try to use the gifts God gives us to prove our worth, the temporary counterfeit doesn't satisfy us for long. We get stuck in a cycle of continually needing to get good grades or to be ahead of others to feel ok.
That cycle is exhausting and it doesn't satisfy. The cost of proving our significance is high. We either have to get ahead of people, probably those we care about the most. Or we feel worthless because we can't get ahead of them.
Either way, the cycle doesn't work.
Isaiah 55:8-9 says that God's ways are higher than our ways. When you develop a relationship with God and ask Him to show you His higher ways, He will open your mind to how He sees things.
God wants a life-changing relationship with you.
It's your decision. Are you ready to take the journey to step into connection with his presence?
Are you questioning if you have time?
What are the first two things that come to mind that hold you back?
What if those are the counterfeits that will never satisfy you?
They could very things that you spend a great deal of time doing, that will not lead you to the life you want.

Week 1 Lesson: Who is God?
Teen Bible Study
God is Love.
God is love's essence. Without God there would be no love. Meaning love's most important aspect is God.
It's not just that he is loving.
Take note. It does say Love is God.
God's nature to be good, kind, and to give joy. If you love others it is the overflow of what you received from God.
God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
He is the Creator of the universe, the author of life, and the custodian of all things seen and unseen.
You have to choose whether you believe God created everything or everything just happened.
This belief will shape the other parts of your life and faith.
If God created you, then that means you are valuable. Humans don't determine your worth. The fact that chose you for this point in history shapes who you are.
God's purposes and plans for you shape your significance and the impact you're meant to have on this world.
Understanding God requires faith, love, and a willingness to accept His word as truth.
Ask God for the gift of faith and to receive his love. He will do that for you.
All you have to do is choose to accept it and believe what scripture says.
Then the climb to higher ways of thinking begins.
