This Post Will Help You Complete Week 5
During these turbulent times in history, it may feel like the Kingdom of God is old news, but in reality it is a superior reality that can help you sort through the noise. Understanding the characteristics of the kingdom can help you take strides to make the world around you a better place. With the help of Holy Spirit we will explore this spiritual realm and try to understand how to live from it in everyday life.
A Guide to Help You Enter the Kingdom of God
Education is key to entering the kingdom of God. To make things simple you can't recognize it or get in without Jesus.
Why?
God's kingdom is different than our current reality. There is no sin. Only things like love, righteousness, peace, and joy exist there. There is no darkness or evil there at all.
Basically those sin struggles we deal with on a daily basis can't be in Heaven because God's will done all the time. Sin messes things up. Look around the world. We know this.
If you're like me this probably really messes with your mind. The process of learning, relearning, teaching, and sharing the power of God's kingdom is a catalyst that drives me to search for greater understanding of this unseen world God offers believers.
Molded by the teachings of Jesus, and emboldened by the powerful healing I've experienced through connection with Holy Spirit, I keep working on getting things that God labels as sin out of my life only to see him at work more clearly.
There was a time, maybe like some of you, that I thought sin was the excitement in my life. Then I realized if my ways of doing things were working so well, then why was I so depressed and anxious?
As I literally wept and cried out to God my heart and mind began to transform. The things I desired in the past no longer appealed to me. In fact, I could see how they were the very thing opening me up to hurt and pain.
My mindset has changed since I started to live like I belonged with God. I no longer have a fear of failure or a need to be perfect. I know that I can learn from any success or failure that I have.
I don't have to strive to prove my worth or place in this world because I know I belong in God's kingdom. The palpability of God's presence let's me know it's real. I love and celebrate people in a way I couldn't have imagined before.
Ephesians 2: 6-10 NIV "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
So what is my goal in all this?
I want to enact change and be on the ground with young women, helping them recognize they can do life differently.
What do you want them to know?
Don't put God in a box. Trust me you will miss out on the most powerful relationship of your life, if you look past all that partnership with him can do. Push yourself past the constraints of what you think faith is to discover the reality of God's alternate reality. Don't be afraid to open up and let Holy Spirit in.
What advice would I give?
Start where you are. It's easy to feel like you have to fix everything before you can begin the process of transformation. As long as your heart is committed to Christ and a fire in you to go after all that God has for you, that is enough.
Trust God to help you with the rest. He will honor your passion, fire, and desire to know him.
I get it. It's a big decision to choose Jesus as your savior.
Yes, there is a lot of weight behind your choice, but in reality it more of an adventure than hard.
The Shift to a Higher Way of Thinking
God's Superior Kingdom
With the Bible in front of you, it may seem like there are a million things that you have to do. Each option seems to add to the list of things to do to get in, but truly accepting Jesus is the only option that that will lead you where you want to go.
Of course, choosing Jesus is an important decision, and there are things you should consider, if you want to do it right.
It's not about saying the right words or jumping through religious hoops.
Ask yourself a few simple questions.
What kind of life do you hope for?
Do want to be married and have a family?
What do you want to do after you finish school?
What is your favorite part of your life?
When you have free time, where are you most likely found?
What would make you hate your life?
What times in your life threw you off the most?
How do you deal with trauma or emotional pain?
Why are these things important to you?
What if it didn't all fall on you? That as you learn to live from a kingdom perspective you can differentiate between what is good for your life and what isn't.
Friends may give you the okay to take your life off track, but Holy Spirit will help you understand why you need to pump the breaks. As time goes on you will learn that by listening to kingdom principles you grow and keep yourself out of the emotional chaos that comes from getting off track.
The biggest impact to living according to God's will is that you can embrace and love your life, without having to abandon parts of yourself or leave behind what you love. It's not easy to put yourself out there, but it's worth it.
Through persistence and strength you will experience transformation that will allow you to live a more powerful life. God will give you the grace to walk through criticism or backlash that happens in life. You will no longer be destroyed by those things.
What Can Living From the Kingdom of God Mean for You?
It can change everything for the better. You can be the voice of change for your generation. God can use your fire and passion to help you grow and to inspire others to pursue their dreams with him.
Entering the Kingdom of God is a journey of transformation. Through faith, obedience, and aligning your life to God's will, you can step into the realm of unparalleled human experience where you see God at work in your life.
