The Importance of Connecting with Jesus in the Study (pg. 5)
At the heart of this study is connection with Jesus. It’s not just about filling in answers or checking boxes. It’s about creating space for Him to meet you right where you are.
Here are some ways to lean in:
Invite the Holy Spirit. Ask God’s Spirit to guide you and open your heart.
Pause and listen. Don’t rush—give yourself space to be still so you can hear from God.
Ask for understanding. When things feel confusing, simply ask the Holy Spirit for help.
Look for real-life examples. Think about where you’ve already seen truth lived out in your own story or in the lives of others.
Don’t stress about “getting it right.” It’s okay if you don’t understand everything right away—this is a journey, not a test.
Take time to pray. Sometimes God will bring to mind things He wants to address. It may be totally off subject. That's okay. Let the Holy Spirit lead.
Introduction Lesson for "How to Live A Beautiful Life"
Think About
Why Did Jesus Come? (pg. 6)
Read Isaiah 61: 1-3. Circle the phrases or words that give a picture of why Jesus came:
To bind up the brokenhearted.
To bring freedom and comfort.
To provide for us in our need.
To give us a crown of beauty for ashes.
To exchange mourning for joy.
To replace despair with praise.
Jesus didn’t come to weigh you down with more rules. He came to set you free and show you what a beautiful life looks like.
Your First Reflection
As you begin this study, take a moment to think about what you wish was going better in your life right now. Be honest with yourself and share it with God. He cares deeply about every part of your story.
Here are a few ideas to help you begin:
Friendships – What’s going well with your friends? Where do you wish things were different?
Mental health – How are you really doing? What’s been heavy on your mind or heart?
Family – How would you describe your relationship with your family right now?
Faith – If you had to choose three words to describe your faith today, what would they be? Examples: Growing, Hopeful, Curious, Confused, Strong, Fragile, Searching, Doubtful, New, Questioning, Grateful, Deepening, or Developing.
Write down your answers, even if they feel messy or incomplete. This is where your journey begins.
Final Thoughts
Life isn’t supposed to feel this heavy. The world says “be prettier, stronger, richer.” But what if there’s a better way?
It isn’t about rules. It’s about finding peace when everything feels chaotic, strength when you feel weak, and love that actually lasts. This is your invitation to take the first steps into learning to live a Beautiful Life.
