Honest Question: What If I Already Had Sex? What Now?

Question: What do I do if I already had sex, but I still want God's design for sex in my life? Is it too late?

Scripture Says:

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1 NKJV

Answer: It isn't to late to turn back to God, if you've already had sex. It will be a journey to untangle yourself from all the things that come with sexual sin.

Confess: 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Admit Your Weakness & Ask Holy Spirit to Help You Know What to Pray For. "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God."

Get Away From Anything That Pulls At Your Sexual Desires. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Turn Your Heart and Mind to God. Allow Him to make the exchange for His Thinking about Sex. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’ Matthew 13:15 NIV

The Truth: Don't Give Up! Nothing is Impossible With God. (Luke 1:37) Through Confession and Repentance God can restore and reset your standards for sex. This journey is part of renewing your mind and becoming a new creation in Christ.
