Practical Answers to the Questions About First Steps to Start a Teen Bible Study.
One of the most common things I hear from women is, "I think God is leading me to start a teen Bible study...I just don't know where to begin."
If that's you, you're in the right place.
Starting a Bible study doesn't have to be complicated. It begins with a few simple steps and a willingness to say yes to where God is leading. Here are some practical ideas to help you get started.

1. How do I find girls to invite?
Start with the relationships you already have.
If you attend a church, ask if there are teen girls who might be interested. Think about the girls you already know through your community, school, or family. If you have a relationship with one teen girl, ask if she has a couple of friends who might enjoy coming with her.
You can also talk with parents of teen girls and simply ask if they think their daughter would be interested. Youth pastors and youth leaders are another great resource because they often know girls who are looking for a place to grow in their faith.
Don't feel like you need a large group. Sometimes the most meaningful conversations happen with just two or three girls gathered around a table.
2. When should we meet?
Choose a day and time that works for both you and the girls you hope to invite.
The best way to find a good time is simply to ask. Talk with parents and teens about their schedules, and take a look at your local school calendar. You'll want to avoid nights filled with sports practices, games, concerts, or other school activities whenever possible.
Remember, consistency is more important than finding the "perfect" night. Meeting at the same time each week helps everyone build the Bible study into their routine.
3. Where should we meet?
Choose a location that is comfortable, consistent, and easy for girls to get to.
Your home may be a wonderful place to meet if it's easy to find and accessible for families. If you live several miles outside of town, however, transportation may become a challenge for teens who depend on rides.
Churches, coffee shops with meeting rooms, community centers, or another central location may be a better option depending on your community. The goal is to create a welcoming environment where girls feel comfortable showing up week after week.
4. What Bible study should we use?
Choose a study that was created specifically with teen girls in mind.
Teen girls learn differently than adults. They are often balancing school, activities, sports, work, friendships, and family responsibilities. A study designed for them should be engaging, practical, and easy to complete without feeling overwhelming.
That's why I created the Just a Girl Who Loves Jesus Bible study series. Each study uses approachable lessons, manageable amounts of reading, thoughtful reflection questions, and practical biblical teaching that helps girls learn how to build a genuine relationship with Jesus. My goal is to make it easy for mentors to lead meaningful conversations while giving teen girls a solid biblical foundation they can apply to everyday life.

Take the First Step
If God has been placing teen girls on your heart, don't ignore that nudge.
You don't need to have every detail figured out before you begin. Start with one conversation. Invite one girl. Pray for God to bring the right people together, and trust Him to guide each step along the way.
The next generation needs caring women who are willing to show up, open God's Word, and walk alongside them. Your simple "yes" could become the beginning of a life-changing journey for a group of teen girls.
