How to Have the Mind of Christ When You Get Triggered

Have You Ever Wondered How to Have the Mind of Christ? You know like 1 Corinthians 2:16 says. (...But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 )

Certain people can trigger you to act in the complete opposite of Jesus. Keep reading for some tips to hold onto your power, rather than handing it over.

The TRUTH: You have the power to choose how to respond in hard situations. You can either let the other person's behavior cause you to react. You’re mean if they're mean. It doesn't require any thought.

Or you can choose to respond in a way that lines up with the mind of Christ. Your response isn't determined by the other person's behavior. Instead you choose to respond in a way that protects your heart and mind.

It's not easy but possible.

  1. Pray. It can be as quick as saying, "Holy Spirit Help Me."

  2. Wait. Don't say anything until you feel peaceful and under control.

  3. Wise Action. Whatever you say or do should protect the relationship with the other person. It should also line up with the word of God.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
