Have you sprinkled your faith with things that don’t fit?
What do I mean? ...............................
Karma- (a Hindu belief) Getting what you deserve. 💡Doesn’t fit with...Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead, to pay the price for sin...so we don’t get what we deserve. 🔥
Theory of Evolution-(a Scientific idea) We all evolved from mutations. Humans probably evolved from monkeys.🐵
💡You can’t believe in God and Darwin’s Theory of Evolution.
...Believing in God means you believe in intelligent design by a creator. AKA You were created.
...Darwin’s theory says there was no need for a creator because everything descended from one common living thing. Monkeys, bananas, sharks, and flowers are all related. No creator. The universe evolved on its own.
Action Step:
Ask God to help you recognize things you have been taught that don’t fit with your faith.
School, YouTube, Social Media, Movies, Television, Friends...Present a ton of ideas.
Before you believe something as truth, be sure it lines up with Scripture. And fits with your core beliefs as to who God is.
Prayer
Hey God. I feel kind overwhelmed by the idea that I am supposed to sort through everything I am taught at school or through media to decide if it is true. I don't know how to do that. Can your Holy Spirit help me with that? Can you put mentors in my life to help me? If there are things that I believe that are getting the way of my faith, I pray you strip them off. Elminate confusion in my faith. Help me keep growing and learning. You are an awesome and powerful God. I trust you will help me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
