A Broken Heart from Rejection:
-> In the movie, The Devil Wears Prada, Andrea was ridiculed for not fitting in.
They told her she wasn't trying hard enough.
What did she do? --She believed them.
The nice clothes she starts wearing are not the problem. It is the heart change that comes along with the new clothes which sends Andrea down the wrong path.
She believed she wasn't good enough, so she changed who she was.
Haven't we all done that at some point...to "fit in."

What Happens When We Buy the Lie?
-> Andrea finally feels accepted when she conforms. She feels confident and valuable.
-> The Problem She then rejects her friends and hurts the ones she loves. They no longer fit into her life.
She buys into the lie that she has no choice but to treat people poorly to keep the approval of her boss and the people around her.
It costs her dearly! She sacrifices the ones she loves for the approval of others.

How to Heal A Rejected Heart
1. Ezekiel 18: 32 "Turn & Live"
Through prayer turn to God and begin the journey back to who God meant you to be. Ask God to heal your heart and to help you find your way.
2. The Truth: God Made You- Don't reject His creation.
Psalm 139:13-16 "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them."
Job 33:4 "The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life."
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
3. Pray and Ask God to Help You Believe His Word and to Help You to Love and Accept Yourself. Ask the Lord to help you stop believing the lies of the enemy and to see the truth of who He created you to be!
1 Chronicles 28:9 “...learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.”
