The High Way Journal: Week 14 Journal Prompts

You don't have to live like this anymore. Through Christ...YOU ARE FREE!

Close your eyes and picture climbing up into the Kingdom of Light.

The High Way Journal, By Kelly Kirstein, is a guided journal that helps you build faith in Jesus. This post offers one slide per day with simple questions to help you complete each page of Week 14. Get closer to God one verse at a time.

Day 1: Journal Pg. 88

  1. Invite Holy Spirit. Soak in the truth that through Christ you have moved up into the kingdom of light.

  2. Write out the statement: As a child of God, sin has no power over me unless I allow it to. Jesus set me free to live according to the will of God.

  3. Does your heart desire to do the will of God? Be honest. If you don’t have that drive yet, each day ask God to give you the desire to live under the protection of his Grace and Love.

  4. God won’t protect sin, so you will have to let it go.

  5. Write about the things you need to cut ties with. Reflect on how they are getting in the way of your freedom.

Day 2: Journal Pg. 89

  1. Take a moment to ask Holy Spirit to fill your heart and mind with light.

  2. Freedom and light is what every heart is searching for. Darkness causes hopelessness and depression. Those horrible stories you see all over the media come from the dark influences in this world.

  3. Today, choose one way to be the light and good in the world. Post a Bible Verse. Do something kind for someone else. Show compassion.

Day 3: Journal Pg. 90

  1. Ask Holy Spirit to help you open up. Let Christ into your body, soul, and spirit. As you open up to His presence, allow the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you need to let go of.

  2. Sometimes our old habits come from trying to cope with hurt.

  3. Describe something you do to cope with pain. How can you connect to God instead of going to your coping mechanism, when your hurting?

Day 4: Journal Pg. 91

  1. Ask Holy Spirit to help you break free of your old ways of thinking. Tell him you want a renewed mind that allows you to see the world God's way.

  2. Peace and understanding of God's will comes through a renewed mind.

  3. You can step into this one day at a time through relationship with Jesus. Or you can jump in feet first surrendering it all today.

  4. Whatever you decide set your mind on things above through studying the word, prayer, worship, and whatever keeps you connected to God.

Freedom comes through transformation.
