Keep It Simple: Choose a 2-4 colored pens to use for your page. As you take notes you can rotate which colors you use.
Hint: When referencing scripture make a bold underline or draw around it around it to add focus.
Also use bold letters to draw attention to key points, so you can see them at a glance.
Get Creative: Don't be afraid to try something new. It you are unsure it you will like the design pencil is always a good option, so you can erase.
If it doesn't turn out exactly as planned, remember that's part of the creative journey.

The combination of different lettering styles can make it look fun, while still drawing the focus of the page to a specific verse.
