Bring It Into Play
Rejection. It hurts when it happens. Especially when it’s people you trusted.
Jesus was rejected by some of His closest friends. But here’s the thing, He didn’t blame God or turn away from Him. And Jesus certainly didn’t change to fit in. Or spew harsh words to get revenge.
INSTEAD...He prayed-a lot. Asking for God’s will and help.
Action Step
If you feel rejected, talk to Jesus. Ask Him to guide you through. Maybe He will lead you to a new friend. Or help you understand yourself better.
He will definitely keep you from turning harsh and unkind.
God is the only one who can fill the emptiness inside. Go to Him when you’ve been hurt or rejected by the world.
Prayers
Father, people can be so hurtful at times. Protect my heart from the pain caused by rejection. Help me find people who love and accept me for who you created me to be. If there is something I am doing to cause hurt, help me to see it. Forgive me for the times I have thought out doing hurtful things to get back at people. Thank you for filling me with your Holy Spirit. I know it will help with the emptiness inside. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
