“Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.” Proverbs 29:11.
Bring It Into Play
Emotions. Some days they seem to rule our world.
What do you do when something hits your button?
Do you go on a rant letting everyone know how mad you are.
Saying every thing that comes to mind...good or bad?
Next time...what if you try to find something that will call you down rather than blow things up? -Listen to a song that make you calm. -Take some deep breaths. -Go for a bike ride or a drive. -Find a place to be alone and talk to Jesus. -Go for a run. -Ask a friend to pray for you.
Father, we were created in your image, which means you have emotions too. I want to learn to keep my emotions in check. Why do I let them run away? I need to learn to stop, but they are so strong sometimes. Will you help me find things that work to calm me down? Thank you for helping me do better. I love you. In Jesus's Name, Amen.
