Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference (2018)

Each year at Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference is a new adventure. This year I had the opportunity to be on the prayer team, which meant that I spent the weeks leading up to the conference praying for God's will to penetrate the atmosphere and for the faculty and attendees recognize and obey His will.

For my fourth year attending, God asked me to build my contact list for a devotional app that I am developing. Every workshop I attended helped me grow the vision for the app and understand the business side of my ministry. I met with publishers and book distributors to pitch the vision and gather information from them. I realized that I have a lot to learn, and that is okay. I trust God to lead me.

The absolute best part was reconnecting with friends and meeting new ones. It encourages me to meet other believers who have surrendered their lives to the fullness of God's plans. Not an easy journey, but well worth it.

I often get asked, "Will you be coming back next year?" My response, "Only if God tells me I have to." For me, the time away from family and the cost is only worth it, if I am going out of obedience to God. Otherwise, I would stay home and minister where I live.
